I guess it’s consistently for the best to invest in any service plan offered for your appliances at home, and your car. Turning down a four-year warranty on a new vehicle is foolish, but imagine turning it down when it would only cost you an extra $10 per week! I don’t guess about you, although I just guess that’s ludicrous. Some people are terribly frugal though, plus I would guess – our partner is without question a single of the stingiest people I know! This is the same guy who believes that a $2 tip is honorable plus adequate, no matter how costly the bill is! What’s even more amazing is that this isn’t even the worst thing she’s done. When the two of us were still just recently married, our partner plus I dealt with our home’s heating plus cooling system while in a major breakdown. It was terrible – terrible enough that our ductwork was compromised by an extreme backdraft of dirt, dust plus debris from the outdoors. I won’t get into the particulars of how it happened, but let me tell you this – whole-apartment fans are really more powerful than you’d expect, plus you’d better make sure that every window in the apartment is open when you use it! Anyway, the two of us had an HVAC service supplier come by the apartment to perform service on the system plus appraise the ductwork updatement costs. When he came back with the estimated charges for cleaning out the ductwork, he even went as far as itemizing the actions taken to wash the ducts, plus showed the individual charges for each action. Still, this wasn’t enough for our money-conscious partner, as he refuted his quote plus insisted he do it for free. “You never told us the whole-apartment fan could damage our system the way it did”, he explained, “so I guess it’s only honorable that you get our ducts cleaned at no charge as a show of good client service!” I couldn’t guess he said it, plus I especially couldn’t guess his strong-arm approach worked.
