When my AC went out, my neighbor was kind enough to let me stay in his house while I figured out what to do. It was the middle of summer, which meant the temperature was reaching at least 85 degrees every day. I made a phone call to several HVAC companies, but they all said it would be two days before they could see me. There was no way I could stay in my house without proper air conditioning for that long. I did have a portable fan, but I would have had to sit right in front of it and not moved in order to feel slight relief. While I was staying at my neighbor’s I began researching new AC units, because I knew I’d have to replace it. My AC unit was at least 13 years old and it always had issues. I spent so much money on my energy bills each month just trying to cool my house down. I wanted to be prepared when the HVAC professional came, but the prices of AC units were much higher than I was expecting. I began to panic, because I definitely didn’t have that amount of money lying around for a new AC unit. Finally, I stumbled upon one of the HVAC company’s websites and I saw that they offered financing through the local bank. All I needed to do was fill out the application about my finances and they’d pull my credit to see how much I could loan for the AC unit. Luckily, they processed my application right away and loaned me the exact amount of money I needed for my new AC unit.
