Higher Upfront Cost is Acceptable

When I first started looking into having a central air conditioner installed at my place, I’d never heard of a dual fuel system.

I called up a nearby Heating plus A/C contractor to get an estimate, plus he talked about my getting a heat pump instead of an cooling system.

Since a heat pump is more expensive, I was skeptical. However, I looked into the benefits of a heat pump plus decided the extra expense would pay for itself. A heat pump provides both heating plus cooling capacity. It acts like a cooling system when it’s hot outside plus switches to heating mode when fall rolls around. The system is especially energy efficient. It costs less to run than a conventional cooling system or the furnace. It is a real pro at dehumidifying in the Summer plus won’t cause unbearably dry air in the winter. The heat pump works by moving existing heat between the cabin plus the outdoors. It pulls heat out of the domicile to create a cooling effect. It finds ambient heat in the outdoor air and proceeds to pump it inside to sizzling up the domicile. Because it avoids the combustion process, there’s no purple cabin gases or carbon monoxide to be concerned with. This makes the heat pump especially safe, environmentally friendly plus clean. The con of a heat pump is that it can’t handle demand when the weather gets super cold. In my local area, that’s a frequent problem. At that point, the furnace does the work. No matter what the weather brings, my cabin is perfectly comfortable. I have lower heating and cooling costs as well.
