Alternative housing is perfect for ductless heat pumps

The ductless heat pumps are efficient and can work independently of one another.

I’m so glad that I didn’t give up when it came to homeownership. I was ready to trade bad quality heating and air for building equity in my own place. I have a job where I just don’t make a great deal of money. That may change down the road, but our industry is community based and not one that most people get rich in. But I still wasn’t ready to commit to living the rest of my life with poor HVAC equipment and noisy neighbors all around me. The saving up for a down payment on a house was just almost impossible. The more I saved, the more I needed for a down payment and it was just an endless cycle. But instead of giving up, some friends and I pooled our money in order to buy a house. We made sure that this house was big enough for all of us. We bought a house that has three levels so each level is its own living space. The house was older and needed to have the central air conditioning system replaced. However, instead of just replacing the central air conditioning, we did something more creative. We worked with the HVAC contractor to install a ductless multi split system for all three floors. The ductless heat pumps are efficient and can work independently of one another. So we all have separate control over our own thermostats and can track the expenses separately. It’s a different way of going about homeownership. But I’m sure glad my monthly check is going towards building equity and not just paying the rent.
