I finally caved in and bought a smart control component last month. I had a little extra money left over for my tax return and me and my wife decided it was time to upgrade to a smart control unit. Well actually, it was her that mostly decided it was time for a smart control unit. She was the 1 that wanted to try it out all along. I just thought it was a useless frivolity. I mean, I have a smartphone and a pretty great laptop, plus a nice TV, however a smart control unit? I just did not see the need. All of us already had a basic programmable control component that I thought was enough. Well, the people I was with and I ended up getting the smart control component anyway, and after a month of use, I can’t say that I am disappointed with the purchase. Neither me nor my wife hardly ever bother to walk over to the wall-mounted control component anymore. I must say that it is nice when you are already curled up in bed to not have to get back up and into the hallway to adjust the control unit; you can simply do it from your PC! Moreover, the smart control component is making things even more convenient than that. I suppose the people I was with and I have a pretty predictable control component setting schedule, because the smart control unit, true to its name, is beginning to adjust itself without any input from us. At first, I felt a little bit unnerved by this upstart machine telling me what my favorite temperature is. The thing is, it was right on the money, and has been since!
