The low 30s is cold

I finally caved in and bought a smart thermostat last month. I had a little extra money left over for our tax return and myself and others and our partner decided it was time to upgrade to a smart thermostat. Well actually, it was her that mostly decided it was time for a smart thermostat. She was the a single that wanted to try it out all along. I just thought it was a useless frivolity. I mean, I have a smartphone and a pretty good tablet, plus a nice TV, but a smart thermostat? I just did not see the need. We already had a basic programmable thermostat that I thought was enough. Well, all of us ended up getting the smart thermostat anyway, and after a month of use, I cannot say that I am disappointed with the purchase. Neither myself and others nor our partner hardly ever bother to walk over to the wall-mounted thermostat anymore. I must say that it is nice when you are already curled up in bed to not have to get back up and into the hallway to adjust the thermostat; you can simply do it from your phone! Moreover,  the smart thermostat is making things even more convenient than that. I suppose all of us have a pretty predictable thermostat setting schedule, because the smart thermostat, true to its name, is start to adjust itself without any input from us. At first, I felt a little bit unnerved by this upstart machine telling myself and others what our number one temperature is. The thing is, it was right on the money, and has been since!
