The ductless Heating and Air Conditioning system was cheaper to run, and it was more efficient in heating and air conditioner.
We had the mini-split Heating and Air Conditioning system installed for almost a year, and she was proving right in everything she said about the mini-split, however my utility bills were lower, and the Heating and Air Conditioning worked perfectly. The only problem we were having was that there was a faint odor of mold in the room for the last couple of weeks, then I called the Heating and Air Conditioning corporation and told them about the smell of mold. She said we may need to have the system flushed and cleaned. I thought this was repair free. She said it was repair free, but it needed to be cleaned once every year or 2. In our book, cleaning was part of the repair program. She said the repair was without cleaning, but when they did repair on the Heating and Air Conditioning system, they also cleaned it as part of the repair. Maintaining Heating and Air Conditioning systems and cleaning was still part of the deal. Telling me there was no repair needed meant the Heating and Air Conditioning system didn’t need to be cleaned, either. I could not argue with the Heating and Air Conditioning professional, so I told her to come out and ‘clean’ the mini-split system. When she got there, it surprised her how much mold and slime had formed inside the unit. It took her nearly an hour to scrub one small mini-split Heating and Air Conditioning system. I would not want to see how long it would take if I had ductless Heating and Air Conditioning in the entire house.
