Summer is supposed to be one of the best seasons for enjoying oneself. Kids get to be off from school. Adults typically plan summer vacations. It’s the time to get away from it all and have some fun, right? Well I can certainly appreciate the sentiment, but summers simply aren’t all that much enjoyable to me around here. It’s mostly because of the weather we experienced in the summertime. You see, it’s either bright and hot and humid outside or rainy and stormy. Mind you, it can change back and forth between those two types of weather throughout the course of a day. I have grown tired of this. Everyone goes to the beach in the summer, but a sudden storm has often ruined my trip. So long as I am in town, my favorite pastime during the summer is staying in the air conditioning! Home never feels more comfortable when it’s a literal sauna outside. That’s when I crank up my air conditioner and put my feet up. Because I am not overly fond of summer weather around here, I always make sure that my air conditioning unit is ready to protect me from the heat long before it arrives in force. This typically means getting my air conditioner unit checked out as early as March or April. My proactiveness is typically rewarded with a well-functioning and perfectly working air conditioner, even during the worst of the summer heat. Maybe one of these days I’ll find a climate that I actually enjoy in the summer and go and move there!
