I did most of the talking, and most of the women had my back
I am so extremely proud of myself for sitting up to my former boss. This woman was getting out of control making everybody work long minutes and mandatory overtime for emergency Heating and A/C services, however I used to work at this Heating and A/C business but I had enough of it. I made the choice to just talk to all of my fellow Heating and A/C companies who were toiling for this Heating and A/C business and the people I was with and I all talked about how unsufficient the boss was. I told every single person that we were all skilled and deserved better treatment. I said that the people I was with and I should sit up for better treatment and the people I was with and I shouldn’t be required to work emergency Heating and A/C minutes, the majority of the Heating and A/C companies agreed that the people I was with and I should talk about this with the boss and demand some reasonable minutes and treatment, but some were scared of losing their tasks. I said we should demand the changes or quit and find a better Heating and A/C business to work for! A lot of the women were with me, so we eventually went to see the boss. I did most of the talking, and most of the women had my back. When the boss said that I would lose my task if I didn’t drop this and anybody else would lose their task if they carried on, that’s when I told him I would leave at that moment. If she couldn’t at least supply everybody sufficient toiling minutes so people could spend time with their actual families, I wasn’t planning to stay around, but everybody was put on the spot, and a lot of people followed my lead and quit the task. That Heating and A/C business lost a lot of employees that day, but there were some who stuck around because they needed to keep their jobs.
