Spring weather

I felt seriously  awful the other night. So I woke up in the middle of the night shivering. I thought my husband turned down the temperature again. My spouse occasionally tends to sleepwalk to the control unit and turn the temperature down and he is usually always the main one who typically messes with the control unit. So that night right while he was sleeping I yelled to him and I said, “Stop turning down the control unit I am super cold! You need to stop touching it, you’re not the only one who lives here!” So, I got up and walked downstairs to the control unit to turn the heat back on, but for some reason the control unit was not recognizing the buttons that I was pushing, however, normally I could hear the furnace kick on and the air come through the air registers however this time I couldn’t. Then, I decided to check the battery status on the control unit. It looks like the batteries on the control unit were near complete depletion. So, I upgraded the batteries on the control unit. It turns out that the control unit lost power because of low batteries and that is why it felt like the furnace shut off. Now I just need to make sure that I’m typically checking the control unit battery usage every month or so to avoid any interruptions with our heating and cooling system! Who knew that the control unit is practically the heart and motherboard of keeping the home warm and cool? I felt so awful at yelling at our spouse while he was asleep. I went back upstairs and apologized.
