Spongy floors afterwards

Less than a year ago, I graduated from college as well as was left with a sizable amount of debt.

Even though I’ve managed to find a task in my chosen field, it’s only an entry level position.

I’m barely making enough money to cover my student loan payments, automobile insurance as well as groceries! There’s entirely little left over for proper housing. Because of this, I took a dwelling within walking distance to my place of work. The house is incredibly small, old, as well as rundown, but the rent is totally cheap! Sadly, there are water stains on the ceilings, the front door doesn’t regularly latch as well as all of the windows are pretty much painted shut. There are continual drafts from no insulation in the walls as well as the refrigerator can’t keep milk from spoiling. The plumbing in the dwelling is positively old as well as in awful condition. The water heater provides only enough warm water for a quick shower. Every single faucet continually drips as well as the toilet runs pretty much always. I am rather scared that I’m going to fall straight through the bathroom floor which could get me injured. The floorboards are harshly spongy beneath my feet, as well as the floor constantly seems to be entirely damp. I suppose there’s a leak from either the bathroom sink or the toilet, however I can’t locate it. It’s definitely concealed beneath the floor. I’ve called the building owner as well as made complaints about this issue multiple times, but he has yet to do anything about it. The water damage is only getting worse as well as will eventually lead to structural issues as well as possibly black mold. My only true hope is to afford a better dwelling before the floor completely collapses.
