Some hotel heaters are definitely better than others

I got stuck with the worst possible route last week, when I fell asleep during the morning meeting. I am a pharmaceutical representative for a very large supply company. We service most of the Pacific Northwest, from the top all the way to the bottom. The worst route is in the coldest region, and it’s 16 weeks of hotels and travel. Eight of those weaks occur during a time when there is no daylight for 20 hours of the day. Everyone usually draws straws for this cold route, but my snore signified an affirmative yes. I couldn’t argue with my boss, especially when she caught me sleeping. I agreed to take the Pacific Northwest route. I’ve been on the sales route for 7 weeks already, and I can definitely tell that some hotel heaters are better than others. Since I’m usually in a different city every day, I tend to stay in a different hotel every night. It’s a real nuisance to find the ones that have a nice heater. The outdoor climate is so icy and cold, so the hotel heater becomes an important part of my daily routine. Two weeks ago, I stayed in a hotel with a superb heating machine. I barely had to set the temperature to 70, before I was warm and cozy. Last night, I was stuck in a hotel with a loud heater that shook the room all night long. It produced plenty of warmth, but it sounded like a plane taking off in my room every 10 minutes. I didn’t get much sleep, and I won’t stay in that place again.
