Since I was little I have loved baking.
Naturally when I graduated from business school I decided that I would start a little bakery! I didn’t want to hire any employees until I knew it was going to work, and I am pretty glad that I did that.
I ran into a few problems my first month being open. The first thing that happened involved my HVAC system. I guess I set the AC up way too high, and it caused the system to break. My refrigerators got so hot that they also stopped working! The air conditioner breaking caused so many problems that I could have never thought of! I had to call an HVAC technician and get him to come out as soon as possible. All of my product was ruined and it really set me back. I decided that moving forward I will learn as much as I can about HVAC, since I clearly see how important it is. I know that I can’t set the thermostat too high, it will just cause problems with my air conditioner. I wish that I would have known about AC units before this whole situation happened, but the lesson will be in my head forever! Due to my little heating and cooling problem, I am reconsidering the business. It’s already cost me so much money and I haven’t even opened my doors yet! My friends and family are telling my not to let this HVAC situation get me down to much. It is feeling a lot better know that the AC unit is back up and running, and I have put a sign up on the thermostat so nobody touches it. I am going to be so careful with my AC system now.
