Planning to keep working from home in great HVAC comfort

So I sure missed the call when it came to the pandemic.

Initially, I was one of those people who thought it was all being blown out of proportion.

In my mind, I thought the heat and humidity of summer would kill that virus. Of course, I could not have been any more incorrect. But I clung to the notion could I wouldn’t be missing the zone controlled HVAC of the office very long. Our company closed the office and we had to work from our own central air conditioning. I was against that decision and lobbied to stay inside that commercial HVAC as part of the skeleton staff. That request was denied and I was sent home to the residential HVAC of my home. When I started working from home, I just really didn’t put that much effort into it because I literally thought we’d be going right back to the office. That all changed by the summer of 2020 when all the layoffs started happening. I was lucky to keep my job but I did have to take a pay cut to continue working from the central air conditioning of home. For some reason, this kind of kicked me into gear and I really started saying to myself that I needed to get comfortable working from home. So I cleared out a spare room and made it a dedicated office space. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed working from home. I was even further surprised that I declined the invitation when the HVAC at work was available again. Instead, I put in a ductless heat pump in my new home office and will continue to work remotely.
