Old HVAC set up

Lately I have been looking for a new job because the restaurant business is too much for me. I have to work long hours, it’s hot, and the customers aren’t too nice. The other day I overheard a customer talking about how he needed to hire some new workers, and I started up a conversation with him. I told him my situation and he asked if I had any HVAC skills. I had went to vocational school when I was younger, and actually did specialize in HVAC, but I had a friend that was a chef so I did that instead. He said I could come over to his shop and he would give me a few tests. When I got to his house, he had an old HVAC unit set up. It looked like an air conditioner from the prehistoric times, but I pretended like I knew what I was doing. It didn’t look anything like the AC units I had learned on. He told me to diagnose the issue, and I started to inspect the unit. I remembered in class my instructor always told me to check the air filter first, so I started there. It looked fine, so I went deeper into the AC unit. I fiddled around with some wires, and checked the screws and bolts. I noticed that a few were pretty lose, and figured that might be the problem. I also checked for any debris and decided to switch the thing on. To my amazement, the AC unit started blasting cool air out instantly. The man was impressed and hired me on the spot. To this day he says I am his best HVAC technician, and I have never flipped another burger since.
