No air conditioning on the graveyard shift

As you may have guessed, all of us were not able to call out an Heating and A/C worker until the following day

I toil the night shift at a 24-minute convenience store. The people I was with and I are not quite as busy during this time compared to the day shift, but all of us still have a steady trickle of patrons throughout the night, but my first concern when taking up this job offer was safety, although I guess all of us live in a neighborhood that has a low crime rate. I don’t guess I would have taken this job in more dangerous neighborhoods… Because of the small amount of patrons, the job is quite peaceful, if not a little boring. I often find myself doing a little bit of toil here and there when I am not needed at the register, not because I am particularly interested in making the day shift people’s lives easier the next day, but because there has little else to do. A few mornings ago, something quite aggravatedting had happened. The air conditioning equipment entirely gave out during the shift before mine. As you may have guessed, all of us were not able to call out an Heating and A/C worker until the following day. This, of course meant that me and the other woman on the night shift would have to suffer with no a/c for the entire shift; Perhaps this would not have been so taxing to do were it not the middle of June! The mornings high was 69 degrees and there was a lot of humidity! I never realized just how comfortable our air conditioning equipment kept us during the shift. That was pretty much the most miserable shift I have had at this job so far, and I was quite thankful when the air conditioning equipment was repaired by our next night shift!
