I labor the night shift at a 24-fourth convenience store.
The two of us are not quite as tied up during this time compared to the afternoon shift, however the two of us still have a steady trickle of buyers throughout the night; My first problem when taking up this task offer was safety, even though I suppose the two of us live in a neighborhood that has a low crime rate.
I don’t suppose I would have taken this task in more dangerous villages! Because of the small amount of buyers, the task is quite peaceful, if not a little boring. I often find myself doing a little bit of labor here and there when I am not needed at the register, not because I am particularly interested in making the afternoon shift people’s lives easier the next afternoon, however because there’s little else to do. A few afternoons ago, something quite exasperatedting had happened. The air conditioner component entirely provided out during the shift before mine. As you may have guessed, the two of us were not able to call out an HVAC professional until the following afternoon. This, of course meant that me and the other person on the night shift would have to suffer with no cooling system for the entire shift… Perhaps this would not have been so tough to do were it not the middle of July! The evenings high was 72 degrees and there was a lot of humidity! I never realized just how comfortable our air conditioner component kept us during the shift. That was pretty much the most miserable shift I’ve had at this task so far, and I was quite thankful when the air conditioner component was repaired by my next evening shift!
