He has done it once before, but it was a pain, and he said this van is different than the van that he worked on before
My husband and I both hate spending money on new vehicles. We actually have never bought a brand new vehicle. They lose way too much value when you drive them off the lot. It just is not worth the price. We tend to buy vehicles that are a couple of years old. We have had great success with vehicles that way. We bought my minivan about twelve years ago, and it is just now giving us issues. Sadly, they are some pretty major issues. The transmission is about to go. The van hardly goes in reverse now. I am just waiting for the day that I get in and the van does not go anywhere. My husband said that he could put another transmission in it, but we are also having HVAC issues. The air conditioning in the van is hardly working at all. It blows cool air sometimes, but most of the time it does not. My husband thinks that there is a leak in one of the air conditioning lines which is not a very cheap fix. We have talked about the price to replace the transmission and the air conditioning line, and we are just not sure that the van is worth that much investment. We are looking into just buying another van instead. I think that is the better option since our van is over fifteen years old. My husband is not even sure if he would be able to replace the air conditioning line anyways.
