I love my parents so much. They have always been a huge part of my life, and I am super thankful for them. I actually do not know how I would have made it through my young adult years without them. They taught me so much and gave me so much good advice. I hope that I can be half the parents to my children that my parents were to me. I try my best to get my children around their grandparents as much as possible because I know how good it is for them. My parents are getting older, but they still act like they are in their thirties. I think it is so much fun to watch them do things that no sixty year old should be doing, but they do not care. It is so hard for me to visit them for long periods of time only because of how warm they keep their house. Growing up, the house was always warm, but now that they are older, the house is even warmer. It is literally around eighty-five degrees in their house year round. They do not even think twice about it being that warm. It is comfortable to them. I cannot sleep in such a warm house, so I usually leave their house absolutely exhausted. Something that I did not think of until the last time that I visited was bringing my small air conditioner with me. I put it in the window of the guest bedroom, and it made my stay at their house a hundred times better. I actually got some good sleep. I will be bringing my air conditioner with me from now on, no matter what time of year it is.
