Two weeks before I graduated from university, I inherited a good chunk of cash.
I made the decision to move to the subtropical area where my parents lived so I could start my career & buy a household.
At my young age, buying a household, and household repair, could particularly become overwhelming. From choosing the right household & village to having the gutters cleaned & arranging Heating & A/C repair, I was not prepared for household care. Some things I could figure out on my own, both when choosing a household & living in it. I could easily recognize a drug infested village & my thermostat had a heat setting so obviously I didn’t have to worry about an oil furnace. Then there are things I would turn to my mother for, like how to tell if a roof is leaky & how often to have the Heating & A/C device worked on. My mother was a big help, but when I found a household that I was interested in, I took Mom with me to look at it. And when I finally bought a household, Mom sat down with me & explained the things that would need to be taken care of & how often. Then both of us put reminders on our iphones & on a calendar! She helped me get set up with a shrubbery care service, a cable & Wi-Fi service, & a Heating & A/C device service plan. Someone comes to mow my shrubbery & weeds every few weeks & a Heating & A/C worker services my Heating & A/C device when it needs it, just in case I lose my iphone & calendar. It’s a beautiful thing that I have my mother. My household would have fallen apart separate from her helping me.
