My car is really on it’s last leg now

A couple of months ago, the AC compressor in my car stopped working.

I was a little irritated and annoyed, but I didn’t let it get me down. It wasn’t particularly hot outside, but I knew the AC compressor needed to be fixed before summer. I drive 30 minutes to work every morning and 30 minutes or more home every afternoon. During the spring months it isn’t a big deal to go without AC, but summer would be an entirely different story. I planned to fix the AC compressor after I received my tax check. A few weeks after the AC compressor problem, I had to change the oil. The tech charged me for an oil filter and a cabin air filter. Then last weekend, I got a nail in one of the tires. I went to the tire shop to get a plug and the technician told me that all four tires needed to be replaced. They were terribly warm and the tread was almost nonexistent. During the service check, the technician also advised me to service the brakes and perform a coolant flush on the engine. I couldn’t afford to have all of the work done, and now it seems like the problems keep adding up. I feel like the most unlucky person in the whole world. It’s just one problem after another. By the time I pay for all of the repairs, I could have a brand new car. I’m not happy about the possibility of paying a car payment every month, but I really can’t keep making repairs on a vehicle that is on its last leg.
