My brother in law Darryl just started up a new commercial HVAC business. He has been working for a little local HVAC company here in town for quite a while now. But I guess he’s been getting pretty bored with working for someone else. He has decided that he really wants to go ahead and open up his own HVAC business. Instead of focusing on residential heating and cooling business like the little local HVAC company that he had been working for, Darryl decided that he wanted to do commercial HVAC work instead. Darryl has a lot of contacts in our local business community, and they have been telling him how they need an HVAC technician in the immediate area. They have told him that they need an HVAC technician who would focus on the needs of the businesses here in town and put their heating and cooling needs first. Apparently, the little local HVAC company that Darryl works for now always put the residential calls first. That’s a great way to do business if you’re a little mom and pop HVAC shop, but where does that leave all of the commercial HVAC customers in town? That’s how Darryl decided to open up his own commercial heating and cooling business. He said that his goal is not to take any business away from his current employer at all. He just wants to work on the furnaces and air conditioning systems of the stores and restaurants here in town. I think it’s a good idea. Darryl is going to make a great commercial HVAC technician.
