This hot season has been a single one of the most humid that I can ever recall! Even when the hot plus cold temperatures are not that intense, such as in the sixties plus seventies at night, the humidity level is still way up in the eighty to ninety percent range.
It seems that we are using our portable air conditioning devices just to dehumidify more than cooling just to try to make the apartment comfortable.
Normally when the hot plus cold temperatures drop that low at night the people I was with and I can easily open the windows plus appreciate the night air however that is not the case this year. Our energy usage for the Summer has just about tripled due to the fact that we have the units running on a regular basis. The people I was with and I are also uneasy about how the HVAC units will respond plus if they will continue to operate because of their use all of the time. The people I was with and I obtained them many years ago from the local hardware store plus they have been great as far as intermittent cooling goes… However, I don’t really know if any of them are meant to run as often as they are now plus I suppose the people I was with and I may have to replace them next year if this keeps on going. The people I was with and I were uneasy about the fact that the coolant might need to be recharged however when I got a hold of the local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C device dealer they said that as long as the people I was with and I were just using them for dehumidification they should be great. I sure hope that the weather pattern changes plus the people I was with and I get some relief soon because I recognize that we, along with our portable air conditioning devices, could use a break.
