My family plus I were looking to buy a household… All of us only had so much money to work with plus the group of us thought if both of us obtained a fixer-upper, the group of us could get more square footage.
All of us had been looking for a good amount of time, but there wasn’t much available.
Then I got fortunate. All of us found a sizable household that had been empty for multiple years. Vandals had broken the windows plus had parties plus some floors needed to be upgraded, plus the yard was terribly overgrown, and it looked a lot worse than it truly was… The realtor informed us that the electrical wiring plus the plumbing was in great shape. The place was a sizable mess plus there were leaks in the roof, but it had a fireplace. I had always wanted a fireplace. It’s taxing to find a nice household with a fireplace in the subtropical area that we lived in plus the fireplace appeared to be in excellent shape. All of us could repair the floors plus the roof plus upgrade the windows plus scrub everything up. The group of us may not find another household in our budget that has a fireplace, and so, all of us obtained the household plus spent a couple of months fixing it up before buying furniture plus all of us put the couch right in front of the fireplace where I always pictured it would be. All of us used the fireplace a great deal that first year, but now not so much. The excitement about having a fireplace wore off as novel things tend to do. But all of us still use it when we have guests over in the cold season.
