Managing a group of people has been one of the most excellent experiences of my life. Don’t get me wrong, it can be a royal nightmare akin to herding a bunch of feral cats. But, when it works, it is totally a thing of beauty. That is why I have kept with it for a long period of time. I have been offered all kinds of unusual positions but, I have always enjoyed leading people in a subtle but effective way. Just the dynamics of absolutely working in very close quarters day after day is a pressing challenge. I recognize that the group of us recently had a situation over the Heating as well as Air Conditioning equipment setting in our office. Every one of us work in a completely open area with cubicles and various workstations for everybody. The only walls are for the conference room. The group who loves it to be insanely hot are comfortable and there is now a much cooler zone in the office environment.
