I like our apartment, but the lady upstairs has several dogs

When my girlfriend got mugged in the parking lot of our apartment building, I knew it was time to move.

I was thankful she didn’t get hurt.

The thief really didn’t want to hurt her, thankfully. When she gave up her wallet, phone, and cash, the thief left her and ran down the street. When the police came to take our statement, the officer told us that it was the fifth robbery in the apartment building that month. That was all I needed to hear. I told my girlfriend to start looking for a new apartment and we left our place as soon as the lease was up. Our new apartment is affordable, but still more money than the old place. I like the amenities such as the fitness center, pool, and community laundry center. We also have a top notch HVAC unit. It blows cold air in the summer. We moved in the hottest part of the summer and the AC was colder than ice. The front office supplies us with a brand new air filter each month and they are good quality filters. I’m sure the heater will work equally as well during the winter months. The only problem we have encountered so far is the lady who lives above us. She has several dogs and they bark all night long. I can barely sleep and it’s affecting my job performance. I don’t want to complain about the dogs, but they never stop making noise. They howl and bark morning, noon, and night. Honestly, I don’t know how anyone manages to sleep in this building.
