I have cancer. Will medical marijuana really help?

My husband came to me the other day and asked if I thought marijuana would help with the pain and nausea that came from my cancer. I was honest about what I thought. I wasn’t sure if I was right, but at this point, I thought anything that could help him was worth the try. The next time we went to his doctor’s appointment, he was prepared to ask the doctor about the marijuana. The doctor told him that he recommended my husband try marijuana. I was pleased that the doctor brought up the idea because I was afraid my husband would chicken out. He gave my husband a piece of paper that had some information on it. He said we should take it to the local medical marijuana store. He said he no longer needed to have a prescription so all he had to do was hand the clerk the paper. We were nervous when we entered the legal marijuana store. It wasn’t what either of us expected. I’m not sure what I expected. My husband gave the paper to the man at the front counter. He took it to someone at the back of the store. An older gentleman came out and asked my husband and I to come back. He showed my husband different things he could use. He said he could smoke, enjoy edibles, or use tinctures. He explained what to expect from the marijuana. We walked out of the marijuana store, assured that the doctor was right about marijuana. He couldn’t wait to get home and try the marijuana and hopefully feel a bit more like his old self.
