When I was young, I was always afraid of the dark.
Now that I am older, I am still afraid of the dark in a certain way. I’m afraid of being stuck in a dark situation where I can’t do much to make things better. For example, if the power goes out during some kind of terrible storm, I’m afraid of what might happen to my family and I if we don’t have a working HVAC system or the sump pump can’t work because there is no power. I never want to be in a situation like that, so I have made the choice to prepare for the worst scenarios like this. I have invested in a good backup generator so that we will always have power to the HVAC system and the sump pump if the power were to fail. I also realize that it’s important that your HVAC never fails when you need it the most like in the peak summer months and the brutal winter months. You certainly never want to be without your HVAC system during these times as you can be uncomfortable or even come close to dying. I don’t want anybody in my family to be uncomfortable or die, so I make sure to service my HVAC system on a regular basis. I don’t care if it costs me a lot of money to keep up with everything, I just want my HVAC to always be reliable and know that my energy bills are low. I also want to know that we are always going to be okay with a perfectly working HVAC system.
