Two months before I graduated from university, I inherited a pretty good chunk of money! I made the choice to transfer to the subtropical section where my parents lived to start my work and buy a property.
At my young age, buying a property, and home maintenance, could easily become overwhelming. I could actually recognize a drug infested town and my temperature control had a heat setting so apparently I didn’t have to worry about an oil furnace. My Dad was a sizable help, and when I found a property that I was interested in, I took Dad with me to look at it. And when I finally purchased a property, Dad sat down with me and explained the things that would need to be done. Then we placed reminders on my cell phone and on a calendar, and he helped me get set up with a grass care service, a cable and wireless service, and a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment repair plan. Someone comes to mow my grass and weed whack every two weeks and a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment corporation services my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system when it needs it, just in case I lose my cell phone and calendar. It’s a fantastic thing that I have my Dad to help me out. My property would have fallen apart without him helping me.
