I have always hated staying in hotels in the summertime.
- The air conditioners are always so noisy.
The heaters are always super noisy to but at least we can survive by asking for a lot of blankets and just keeping the heat off. That doesn’t work quite so well in the summer. That’s why, when my husband suggested a weekend trip to the beach in the summer, I was a bit hesitant. Still, the price was very good so I agreed to go along. After a long hot car ride I was happy when we finally arrived at our hotel. Imagine my surprise when we walked into our hotel room and the thermostat was set to 55 degrees and yet the air conditioner sound was barely audible. I was able to relax immediately. My husband started going over brochures and asking about what fun things I wanted to do next. I just laid on top of the bed and didn’t even want to think about leaving our comfortable hotel room. Of course, we did end up doing a lot of fun things outdoors. The jet skis were fun and the snorkeling was really interesting; we saw a lot of interesting fish. It is fascinating how the waves sound like wind when your ears are underwater. However, every night I looked forward to going back to our hotel room and a supercooled room. I really enjoyed the quiet. This turned out to be a great vacation and I definitely want to return some day. After all, there was a lot of stuff that we did not have time to do. We will make sure we stay in the same hotel on our next visit as well.
