Every year, our husband & I take our vacation around our anniversary. All of us have been doing this for years now. At first, it was just the ability to use our anniversary as an excuse to get a couple days away from our kids. When you have at least several kids in the condo all of the time, it can get hectic. Once our oldest child was able to take care of the kids for a couple days, the people I was with and I would leave her in charge. All of us knew that our parents were close enough for her to call & have assistance in minutes, if she needed. All of us always told her to not call us, since the people I was with and I would have our iphones off. Unfortunately, the iphones were turned off, since I would be worrying about what was happening. They usually called us at least once a day, & if they didn’t call, I distraught even more. The a single day, the people I was with and I got home, & our child was crying. Her sibling & several brothers, was at Grandma’s & she was aggravated. The gas furnace had gone out & she didn’t want the kids to be there if it was cold. She sent them to Grandma’s house, while she called the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C dealer. The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C corporation had a several second waiting time, so she sat in the house, with no gas furnace running, & she was cold. She wrapped herself up in our moderate coat & apologized that the people I was with and I had to get home to this mess. I had never been so proud of her as I was at that time.
