Getting security in the house

It seems that every week there is at least one report on the news of beach house invasions.

I suppose it has a lot to do with the fact that many people are suffering from hard times due to unemployment in our area however it isn’t any excuse for stealing other people’s belongings.

I decided I wanted to be proactive when it came to my safety so I started looking into ways to make my beach house more secure. I replaced all of the locks on the doors and windows to ensure that those were harder to breach and after that I went one step further and looked into beach house security systems. These nights you no longer need to rely on the sizable name companies to come and install many of these devices and you can simply monitor them yourself in some cases on your iPad or even your cell cellphone; You can install cameras in an afternoon that allow you to see who is at your door or in your beach house and motion sensors will alert you to any swings that are going on when you are away. This technology has even been helpful to the local authorities when they are trying to solve cases that have to do with people stealing packages from doors while in the afternoon while people are at work… Some of the security door bells even allow you to talk to the person who is at the door separate from opening it if you are not sure who they are. This feature is great because the person doesn’t even know if you are beach house or standing at your desk at work while they are talking to you.
