Getting out the heater plan

Although I live in the far northern region of the country, I’ve constantly hated freezing weather.

I’m not a fan of snow plus I have no interest in skiing, snowmobiling or sledding. I hate bundling up in layers of sweaters, boots, wool coat plus gloves just to step outside. I’m aggravated by spending 6 hours a day shoveling the sidewalks plus plowing the driveway. My family get so much snow that I am always required to dig out the mailbox plus shovel a path for our dog to walk. Anytime I want to go somewhere, I first have to wipe snow off the car, melt ice off the windshield plus let the heating unit run for fifteen minutes. I spend a fortune attempting to keep heat in my home. All of us get such rough winter weather that the furnace runs for several weeks at maximum capacity. I schedule professional repair for the heating every fall plus upgrade the filter every other week, just trying to keep it operating at peak efficiency, but with the furnace going, the air in the cabin becomes terribly dry. I then get the joy of dealing with static shock, frizzy hair, chapped lips and dry skin. My family and I never get even a glimpse of the sun, so my skin is as pale as cotton. It’s impossible to look elegant in winter, then my goal is to retire and go to the south to get by with a heat pump. An electric heat pump acts as an a/c in the summer plus reverses operation to provide heat in the winter. It’s only effective until the outside temperature drops below freezing. I plan to live in a spot where that isn’t a problem.
