Some of the most fun that I had as a kid was experienced while in the Wintertide months. I loved going outside to play in the snow. I would make snow angels, igloos, forts, plus snowmen. I would also conduct full-scale snowball fights with all of the neighbor kids! It was such a fun time. However, the best time of all those events was coming back inside where the gas furnace kept the house nice plus toasty. As soon as I stepped inside, the hot, humid air would immediately fog up our glasses. I would peel off all of our wet clothes plus lay them by the door for our Dad to dry. Immediately, I would run to the closest vent to guess the hot air from the gas furnace. My tiny fingers would burn from the sizzling air, making it almost uncomfortable to leave them there. I would rest on top of the vent, allowing the hot air to travel up our entire body. The gas furnace would cause our skin to sweat plus our nose to run. But I loved the heat. The frigid was fun for a time, but the gas furnace never got old… Even this week, I enjoy to rest near or on top of vents! My gas furnace is our best friend, plus I rarely use our air conditioning. However, I easily don’t leave the comfort of our hot house to play outside in the snow anymore. It just doesn’t seem as exciting as an adult. I would rather relax in our house plus keep our temperature control set to a comfortable temperature.
