I wanted an air quality accessory that would not just remove airborne debris but also handle microbials, VOCs and gases.
Polluted indoor air is one of the triggers for my allergies. Air contaminated with pollen, dust, viruses, mold spores and dander creates a problem for me. I end up coughing, sneezing, with a sore throat, headache and itchy eyes. The EPA has stated the average indoor environment is five to ten times more polluted than outdoor air. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to eliminate every source of contamination. I’ve needed to take proactive measures to improve the health and cleanliness of my home. Frequent scrubbing, vacuuming and dusting aren’t enough. The replaceable air filters for my air conditioner and furnace aren’t sufficient. I needed something far more aggressive. Portable air cleaners simply collect particulate, require constant maintenance, and often add to the issues. I looked into a variety of air quality products designed to trap, kill and eliminate all different types of allergens. There were so many choices that it was difficult to choose a manufacturer or style. I researched air purifiers, germicidal UV lamps, and ventilators, and read reviews. I wanted an air quality accessory that would not just remove airborne debris but also handle microbials, VOCs and gases. I ended up with an air purifier that cleans the entirety of the indoor air a minimum of eight times every hour. It not only traps particles smaller than a grain of sale but kills pathogens and traps smoke, mites, odors and all sorts of allergens. Since installation of the air purifier, I sleep better at night and feel much more productive during the day. My allergy symptoms have all but disappeared, and I no longer need to clean as often.
