Chronic Pain Makes Me Need A/C

If you have someone in your family who is dealing with chronic pain, you should help them by ensuring that the a/c is always in working order

There are thousands of people who suffer with chronic pain. I never thought I would understand ancient people and all their ways. However as I get well into my 60s, I understand them more and more. A lot of what they (and now I) do, is based on chronic pain. For example, I went to the nearby state park, that has lakes, the other afternoon. As a younger person, I fearlessly climbed the ladder and jumped in from the high platform into the lake… Nowadays, though, I can’t do that because I can’t climb the way I used to, however there are millions of such examples. There is also a side effect of chronic pain that I did not suppose existed, and that is being hot a lot of the time . If I have to walk, my arthritis pain makes myself long for air conditioning. If I don’t have the a/c blasting, I get warm and just doing minimal things! When I don’t have the a/c thermostat set lower than most other people, I begin to get wet and warm. This makes myself feel absolutely crummy. I don’t even care to cook anymore because between the heat of the stove, mixed with the pain response, means the a/c is not even helpful enough to keep myself comfortable. If you have someone in your family who is dealing with chronic pain, you should help them by ensuring that the a/c is always in working order. If my a/c ever goes out, I will be spending my life at the hotel where the a/c is both working and free.
