A very busy time

Last summer, I needed an a/c repair, & it turned into a total nightmare.  When I first started up the central cooling method at the end of May, it wasn’t functioning properly.  The air smelled sort of musty, & the cooling unit was absolutely struggling to meet demand. Since I was hoping to avoid a major malfunction & getting stuck without air conditioner, I immediately contacted the only Heating & A/C corporation in my immediate area.  I was told that they were extremely busy & I’d need to wait nearly two weeks for a service appointment. I didn’t want to spend money extra to hire an Heating & A/C corporation outside of my service area, so I agreed to waiting two weeks. During that time, the weather warmed up considerably.  With hot & cold temperatures in the upper eighties & high humidity, I needed to run the a/c. I kept the thermostat set as high as my family could tolerate & crossed my fingers. The a/c ran for extremely long cycles & the operational sounds grew gradually louder. The a/c was screeching, rattling & putting out entirely  little air, and I was desperately awaiting the appointment time. That’s why I was infuriated when the Heating & A/C corporation failed to show up. I took the day off from work, waited for hours, & finally called the corporation. They gave a whole bunch of excuses, but it was quite obvious they simply forgot about me. Fortunately, the Heating & A/C specialist arrived at my home bright & early the next day.  He then tracked dirt through my house, left debris in my grass, & told me he’d need to order parts prior to making the repairs. My family was left without air conditioning for over a week.
